چکیده

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a serious public health problem caused by variety of microorganisms, the most prevalent which are bacteria. The diversity immune system in urinary critical factor defense against infections. This research included 127 clinically suspected UTI patients that all treated with urine analysis and complete blood count test order to observe increased effects neutrophils, total white cells, mainly granulocytes, lymphocytes, response bacteria patients. All were classified into three groups: adult males, females, children's girls, boys excluded as they rarely encounter this infection. In significant differences appear between pus cells well granulocytes. Regarding difference was seen lymphocytes asymptomatic cases, contrast, symptomatic cases showed cells. Background and Aim: There is no consensus in the literature on the relationship between blood groups and risk of urinary tract infection (UTI). The present study was conducted to evaluated the relationship of blood groups with UTI and determine the most common bacterial cause of UTI in different blood groups. Materials and Methods: This descriptive-analytical (cross sectional) study was conduct...

Prevalence of Bacterial Urinary Tract Infections in Patients before and after of Kidney Transplantation

Abstract Background and Objective: Urinary tract infections and bacteremia are the major problems in renal transplant patients, which are mostly due to immunesuppressive regimens, surgery, and exposure to the germs in hospital. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of bacterial agents in the blood and urine samples of kidney transplant candidates. Material and Methods: In t...

Resistance patterns of Escherichia coli causing urinary tract infection

Background: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most prevalent infectious diseases and Escherichia coli is its common cause. The aim of this study was to assess the resistance patterns of E.coli in urinary tract infections and to determine the susceptibility of E.coli to commonly used antimicrobials and also to evaluate the options for empirical treatment of UTI. Methods: This stud...

Urinary adenylate kinase and urinary tract infections.

Positive correlations were found among the appearance of adenylate kinase activity in the urine and the existence of bacteriuria, the Fairley test, and other criteria of urinary infection. Since the adenylate kinase isozymes of human tissues are organ specific and can be distinguished from one another, the appearance of adenylate kinase isozymes in urine was used in this study to identify the e...

Low Serum 25‑hydroxyvitamin D levels: Predictive Value of Hematological and Inflammatory Markers in Patients with Urinary Tract Infection

Background: Low vitamin D has been linked to enhance inflammatory markers in various pathological conditions. We aimed to evaluate the urinary tract infection (UTI)-associated hematological and inflammatory markers mediated by low serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D]. Methods: Vitamin D level, hematological indices (Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio [NLR], Monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio [M...
